IN MEMORIAM

Sakshi Kannan

* 8-12-1991    11-01-2025

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that on January 11th we lost our dear sister Sakshi. She passed away while giving birth to her second girl, Nesiya, who is doing well.

1 year ago Sakshi, Kannan and their now 5y old daughter Stuti left Enschede for a 2 year postdoc in Harvard, Boston, USA. Now this young family is bereaved, please keep them in your prayers, that the Lord may strengthen them (Isa 4:13).

Saturday 18th January there will be a memorial service in Boston, USA, starting 20h (Dutch time). You can watch it live here.

Sunday 19th January a book of condolances will be present in the Prinseschool to be signed. Also a part of the service will be dedicated to the memory of Sakshi and prayers for Kannan and his daughters.

Financial support for the family can be donated through the ICF bank account, please label the donation accordingly.

Stephen Nalli

India

Hi there, my name is Stephen, I moved to the Netherlands as a young adult, barely ready to live alone, in a country I knew little to nothing about. Looking back now, over the last 4 years of my life, I recall the faithfulness of God that provided for my needs through it all. It was  that same hand of provision that crossed my path with ICF.

As a new student in a foreign land, the phrase "You are still home" carried a beckoning that was hard to ignore. Being young in mind and spirit, ICF introduced me to a community to fellowship with, and granted me the opportunity to grow in my faith. I'm truly grateful for the family I found here and pray that God extends the same hand of providence to all those who need and seek it now.
